Subject: Tools you carry in your car boot?
Posted At: 03/02/2009 21:52:28
Cars theses days are much more reliable than say 20 years or more ago. No dizzy caps, points, condensers, and carbs that get blocked ect ect. So in theory a motorist that need not carry that many tools in the event that he/she has a breakdown and for whatever reason can get no help elsewhere. I carry less tools in the boot theses days. Pliers, torch, screw drivers, test light (yes they are still useful) and an hammer
What tools are there in your car boot? |

I drive an old car, a Volvo 440 (1991), I do not carry many tools as i have childrens buggys in the boot but i do carry (out of habit), Spare bulbs (the main ones- indicator, headlight, rear light), antifreeze mix, Screen wash, a first aid kit and a few tools for 'simple' on the road jobs i.e changing bulbs, changing a flat tyre etc.
Recently added a 'emergency' blanket (one of those silvery things). |
