My Daewoo Tacuma ( 54 plate ) recently broke down and the upshot is that I require a new engine. My car is a 1.6 but I am struggling to source a used engine to get me back on the road. Can someone let me know if I am resticted to using a daewoo tacuma engine or if I can use another similar type, also is it possible to use a larger engine of the daweoo variety.

These engines are Vauxhall based so you may be able to fit a Vauxhall engine. You'd probably need to swap over all of the peripherals but the basic barebones engine should be the same.
May be worth popping into your local GM/Vauxhall dealer and having a chat with a technician. |
