Does anyone else have fave tunes that they listen to in the car? "Brothers in Arms" (Dire Straits) soothes me in a jam, and makes the atmosphere on a lonely road at night. Any other suggestions for songs I should try?

The abundance of old rock tracks listed on here show a definite (dare I say middle-aged) male bias in the AA Zone demographic.
Not 'choons' strictly speaking but Radio 4's comedy slot (Thurs 6.30pm) usually passes the time on the journey home very nicely indeed. The Chemicals are always a good choice. Anything by Sasha & Digweed makes great 'travelling' music and is fairly chilled. Stuff you can sing your heart out to is great when you are in the mood ( and no, I don't mean Celine Dion or Michael Ball). Lady Gaga is a great travelling companion although you can't help but wiggle your butt to her tunes, which hinders driving ability somewhat. |
