What do you think?
Personally i think it's fantastic that they exist, and there's an architectural value to those with a more Art Deco leaning. Some of them border on family fun parks, with their water slides, picnic areas, footy pitches and kids play areas, so they can provide a great day out even if it's too cold to swim. But should we really be restoring and maintaining so many of them (at huge cost I imagine) in such a rainy country? Anyone know if they are generally subsidised by councils? |
