Things that annoy me

Inconsiderate drivers

Right here I go
1) Motorists who do not indicate or indicate when they are at the junction. I was thaought that it was Mirror, Signal, Manouvre. Motorists these days seem to think it is Manouvre, Mirror, signal. It is easier to see an indicator working on a vehicle and see that it is moving, takes less than a second, but it is harder to observe a vehicle moving without the indicators working.

2) Motorists who park up at night, either picking up a mate or dropping off someone and leaving their headlights ON, whilst they do so. It is considerate to turn the headlights off, leaving the sidelights on, so other motorists are not blinded. Leaving the headlights on leaves a dark area to the side of the car, where for the oncoming motorist it is difficult to see.

3) Motorists who drive around with their front fog lights on. WHY?? Just because they do it on top gear, doesn't make it right. They do it because it makes the car look good. Doing it on the open road just annoys other motorists. Why do it when the sun is shining, why do it when it is raining as the reflection off the wet road causes reflections which can dazzle other drivers. People who do this shoiuld be fined for showing unnecessary lights. It is OK when it is foggy and necessary then but at other times it is not.

4) Personal number plates. Fine if the number reads P1 NOT or H2 EAU, but if it says J111SSE, then what is it all about. I'd fine those with displaced letters £60 for each number plate and 1 point on the driving licence for each displaced letter which does not conform to the spacing of the approppriate template.

That's all for now

I'm afraid I won't be exploding Brian, bot (mostly) agreeing with you!

1) Especially irritating at busy roundabouts where you could have moved away if someone have been bothered to indicate left! Is it just me, or are indicators an optional extra on BMWs?

2) Can't get excited about this one!

3) Because they're idiots?

4) My personal pet hate as well. Strange fonts, odd spacing, the inclusion of black screws as fixings to try to make letters look different... It's all so childish. I saw one the other day SU51 SXY. I bet she isn't at all! It's the driving equivalent of wearing a hoodie and trousers that show your bum crack, i.e. it is simply wrong for anyone old enough to be able to drive. I don't mind ones that are someone's initials or mean something to the driver but all this trying to be clever and witty is just puerile. Why do the police not do something about the ones that illegal, i.e. the silly fonts?
