Great car to drive, shame about the fuel economy, oil usage and tyre prices - but then i knew all about this before i bought the car.
Mazda should have added a Turbo so that it could really compete with the competition, escpecially on a track day. It can handle well, but gets passed on the straights, shame. |

I should also add, if you flood the engine, then it's a right royal pain in the ass to get it started and can involve removing spark plugs, cleaning them, much cranking of the engine and swearing (oh and you need to turn off the fuel pump by removing the correct fuse under the bonnet).
Not something to do in a public car park - so be careful if you flood one. Garages will charge you probably for new spark plugs (around £80-£100 as they are special platinum triple electrode) but they just need a careful clean. I won't now just drive my car out of the garage, clean it and put it back in, as the fuel system puts more fuel in when the engine is cold, so you can end up with 'extra' fuel in the engine after this short trip, lending it to be flooded. If you ever have this issue, email me and i can talk you through the way to get you started as long as you have a spark plug remover. |
