How many motorists are also cyclists?
Does this make them considerate to cyclists when in the car? Do they follow the laws of the road when on their bikes? I can't stand the selfish cyclists who think the rules of the road do not apply to them when they are on two wheels: -cycling through red lights -speeding onto pavements to get through red lights -weaving dangerously through cars in traffic -cyclists who refuse to use designated cycle paths -cycling in 'herds' so you can't safely overtake (instead of single file) A pavement-riding cyclist was jailed last week because he killed a pensioner during his escapades (http://tiny.cc/yhr6Q) but by and large the police turn a blind eye to this behaviour. They should do more. And cyclists should stop trying to take dangerous and illegal shortcuts and simply accept that a journey by bike will simply take longer than a journey by car! |
