My vote is for the A44/A470 from Rhayader in mid wales to Aberystwyth on the coast.

wrynose and harknott are cool and a bit white knuckle - especially if there's something coming the other way or a bike to overtake.

my best is the road from Alston across past the Hartside cafe and down the s-bends. did it once coming back from the lakes in mist - couldn't see more than 5 feet ahead. scary!

The wife and I really enjoyed the Icefields Expressway through the Rockies in Canada. Incredible mountains, huge forests, and those beautiful blue-green lakes full of glacial water. Wow indeed.

You can enjoy some beautiful views of the sea along the Jurassic coast on the B3157 coastal road between Lyme Regis and Weymouth, in Dorset. On a sunny day the sea simply sparkles, in any season.
