Subject: Storing car in Arizona Garage

We have a winter home in Arizona and would like to leave our car in the single car garage when we are not there. We expect to be in Arizona 2-3 times a year but the car may sit idle between 2-4 months and then may be used every other month. What do we need to do in preparation of this type of storage. Does anyone have similar situations?

You don't say what sort of car it is but assuming its a conventional motor
1, Disconect the battery (if you want have a battery isolator switch fitted) 2, Leave it in gear with the handbrake off 3, Have it serviced annuly regardless if low miles driven each year Hope this help!!! PS If you want to pay I can go over once a month and give it a run for you!!!! |
