I'd like to go on safari next year but am conscious of the eco impact. What's the best way of doing it?

Hi, how long do you want to travel for?
This website lets you calculate your carbon emissions by flight and then tells you how to offset them, then you can choose any company to travel with as you won't be limited to ones that organise it for you.... http://www.co2balance.uk.com/co2calculators/flight/ (I think there are other similar ones, if you google "carbon offsetting", btw) |

It's probably a bit late in the day, and it's quite possible you're on safari right now, but for anyone else reading this: In 2008, the AA published a book called Green Rooms, which "offers an insight into eco-friendly and ethical accommodation around the world, and celebrates the growing availability of green holiday experiences". Might be useful!
