Cut out all talk or research into altrernative environmental tax on motorists

We don't need alternative ways to tax motorists in order to reduce emmissions and to save the environment.

The current fuel tax is the perfect system ( though the rating is a little high)
The less miles driven, less pollution and the less the cost.The more miles you drive, the more pollution , the more the cost (fine?)
No other fancy systems are required.

The remaining responsibility then rests with government to set realistic tax, with fuel companies to produce cleaner fuels and with motor manufacturers to produce more efficient cars or alternative cleaner forms of propulsion.
