Hi,
I have heard a rumour that if you press your thumb or finger onto your windscreen before a small stone hits it your digit will soak up a lot of the shock sent through the screen from the impact of the stone and this could help prevent chips and/ or cracks.
Obviously I'm guessing it would have to be a small stone or piece of gravel, and you would need tremendous reactions also.
Does anyone know if this is correct or just a myth.
Cheers
